Our hospital was inaugurated on 26 January 1979. When Dr. Z.A Dhange started his career there were minimum facilities in our town.
Today with the blessings of Almighty Allah and dedication of our entire team, our dream of providing tertiary care health services in Bhiwandi has become a reality.
Welcome to Dhange Multi-specialty Hospital situated at the heart of Bhiwandi. It is started in 26 January 1979 by Dr. Zakir A.R Dhange, Bhiwandi’s first surgeon. When he started his career as a surgeon there was very minimum facilities available, which he could offer at that time.
But today with the blessings of Al-mighty Allah and positive support from the medical, advance facilities & medical professional. We highly appreciate the support given to Dhange hospital by the people of Bhiwandi. After prolonged hard work for almost 43 years, We can confidently say that we have made our dreams come true which stands today in front of you in the form of Dhange Hospital.

Dr. Zakir A.R. Dhange
Zakir Dhange,(Dr. Zakir Abdul Razzak Dhange) son of a farmer,born in Vada (July 13th,1946). He got primary education (only up to 4 years) in Vada and finished his secondary education in Bhiwandi at Rais High School. He finished his higher secondary education (11th and 12th) at Ruparel College in Bombay along with 1st year BSC. He completed his medical education from Grand Medical College and was awarded gold medal in his second year in Pharmacology and for Surgery in his final year MBBS. He then proceeded to do his post graduation in Surgery. During his residency, he helped many patients from Bhiwandi, Padga, Shahpur, Nasik and Vada. He was very dedicated to his profession and always went out of his way to help everyone he could.
After working in JJ Hospital for several years, he thought he could be of more service in his hometown of Bhiwandi.He joined Bhiwandi Nursing home at Nazrana Compound before establishing Dhange Hospital which officially opened on January 26th, 1979.He was involved in several social service activities such as medical camps, engaged with the government
for Family Planning programs in Thane. He offered his services for free to patients who could not afford good medical care all the while continuing to work at JJ Hospital.He was determined to make Dhange Hospital self-sufficient so that patients from Bhiwandi would need not travel to Bombay for treatment. Critically ill patients often needed special care and he would take the time to accompany them to Bombay and ensured that they got good treatment.
Dr. Dhange was honored with the title “Honorary Professor of Surgery” at Grant Medical College & JJ Group of Hospitals where he was involved in undergraduate medical education and resident doctors training. He performed several major surgical operations at JJ Hospital while practicing in Bhiwandi.
He was a close associate of Dr. Undre who was his trainer and mentor. He assisted him at Charak Clinic. Dr. Undre introduced to Konkan Muslim Education Society. He was chief trustee of Shakarshah Masjid Trust and lead the renovation project.
He was also a close associate of Dr. Udwadia, Dr. Kamodia, and Dr. Tilak who all inspired him.
Dr. Dhange worked tirelessly to serve the people of Bhiwandi.He was IMA President, Bhiwandi and honorary surgeon at Indira Gandhi Memorial hospital where he conducted Saturday morning OPD for many years.He successfully expanded Dhange hospital over the years through his dedicated hard work.
